Couple Enhancement
We offer an inventory created by Life Innovations, Inc., consisting of five possible forms:
1. couples who have never been married
2. couples who are living together
3. couples who are unmarried but have children
4. couples who are either already married or have been living together for two more years
5. couples who are fifty years old or better.
We do not require that couples take the inventory but we do encourage it as an enhancement of and investment in their relationship.
The inventory costs $35.00 for scanning. ( We do not charge for the time of administering the inventory.) Within two weeks the results are back in the form of a fifteen page printout covering topics such as:
a. communication
b. conflict resolution
c. personality issues
d. financial management
e. role patterns
f. children and parenting
g. spiritual beliefs
h. leisure time
i. family of origin experience around closeness and flexibility and the couple’s own experience of closeness and flexibility.
The couple meets with us at least three times (or more if the couple desires) to go through the inventory with both of us.
The couple receives a workbook entitled Building a Strong Marriage, which we use in the feedback sessions involving the four of us. Feedback sessions are $35.00 each.
The inventory is not a test, but an instrument which clarifies for the couple what they themselves have identified as their experience.
The inventory is not a predictor of the success or failure of a marriage.
This instrument has been used with hundreds of thousands of couples and is constantly being re-worked to make it even more effective. This inventory was featured on national news a couple of years ago as a help to couples in enhancing their relationship.
